Hello, For some reason both 2013 Word and Outlook keep reverting to the White Office Theme and I want it to be Dark Gray like. Hats off to Microsoft for all the 'dark magic' in their software. However, I expected the Outlook/Outlook to have version 16.29 installed now - but I find all of Office still has version 16.30. Not conducive to low light environments at all. The light reading pane in Dark Mode really aggravates me as I use a 42' monitor and the resultant white light from the reading pane is like a floodlight on me at night. A half measure they might as well have not bothered to implement. You can set the whole device to dark mode and the Office apps will honor that. On starting Outlook, I found that both the dark reading pane as well as the 'switch background' button on the ribbon has re-appeared. Having the dark theme with a bright white reading pane is useless. The Office apps for iPhone and iPad already have a partial Dark Mode. Even though you might be running a version way beyond Version 2001, when you have an Office 2016 or Office 2019 license, the dark Reading Pane will not be available to you in the Black theme (in fact: Outlook 2016 only has the Dark Grey theme and not a Black theme). ![]()
